Create a SEO-friendly slug from a text or title in the following steps:

1. Replacing special characters by words, e.g. $ by dollar.

3. Lowercase the text.
4. Replacing spaces with a dash (-).

The Slug Generator removes the following characters from the text: !"#$%&'()*+,.\/:;<=>?@[\]^_·`{|}~. These characters are replaced with an empty space in the slug. For example, if your input text is "What is slugify?", the output will be "what-is-slugify" where the question mark is removed.
